High Valley 'I Be U Be'
Check out this latest single from High Valley, "I Be U Be"
"I Be U Be" comes as a strong follow up to their last single "Every Week's Got A Friday" which charted in the top ten on Canadian country radio. The band has had additional tremendous success with four Top 5’s, three Top 10’s, five Top 20’s and two Top 30’s. In all they have gotten over 333,000 spins on Canadian radio! “Make You Mine,” which was a Top 5 hit in Canada, is currently Top 20 in the U.S. The last Canadian Country act to reach the top 20 of the Billboard US Country airplay chart was Emerson Drive in June 2007.
Last summer High Valley was signed to Atlantic Records/ Warner Music Nashville. “In that first moment I heard the music, I was blown away,” said WMN President & CEO John Esposito. “I told the guys I could not sleep at night until they were signed with us and we needed them! Their talent, passion and hard work is inspiring and High Valley is a wonderful addition to the Warner Music Nashville family.”
Canadian pop country duo High Valley is made up of brothers Brad and Curtis Rempel. The brothers grew up on a farm in the remote rural community of La Crete, Alberta, where it seemed there was always a lot of country music being played, and the brothers quickly absorbed it, forming High Valley before they were even teenagers. The young band, originally a trio with brother Bryan, played wherever they could, often at church camps, and eventually worked their way up to open for country stars who toured through, all while still attending school and holding down part-time jobs.
They recorded for the first time in Nashville in 2001 and released a debut album, Broken Borders, in 2007. That LP went on to earn the Album of the Year award at the GMA Canada Covenant Awards, while the single "Back to You" brought home Country Song of the Year. The group's eponymous second studio album, issued in 2010, took home five Covenants, and in 2012 they released album number three, Love Is a Long Road, via Open Road Recordings. The well-received County Line dropped in 2014 and included the singles "Rescue You," "County Line," "Make You Mine," and "She's with Me."
To date, High Valley has been nominated for nine CCMA awards and, of those, won three: "Interactive Artist of the Year" in 2013, and "Group or Duo of the Year" in both 2015 and 2016. Additionally, they have been nominated twice for "Country Album of the Year" Juno awards - once in 2012 and once in 2016.
